Labfolder Glossary

App

Apps in Labfolder are a collection of modules that can be activated or deactivated.

Entry

One element of which a Labfolder will be composed of. It may be created either from a blank or a pre-filled Template. It is further subdivided in Entry Elements.

Entry Element

The Entry Element is the subdivision of a Labfolder Entry. There may be as many of them as deemed fit. By default when creating a new Entry from blank, there will be a new Text Element created already.

Export

Entries may be exported as well as entire Projects or whatever you have access to by creating an export file and downloading it.

Group

Group is a collection of users who can thus be granted collective access to Projects.

Import

Data may be imported by Excel spreadsheet complying with certain specifications as documented in helpdesk articles.

Project

A Project is a topical collection of Labfolders helping to group Entries and organise access for collaboration.

Table

There are two differend kinds of tables within an Entry. One comes in within a Text Element by clicking the "insert table" icon. The other one comes in by clicking the "add table element" in the Entry Element toolbar. While the former is part of a Text Element, the latter is an Entry Element in its own right. Make sure to differentiate when referring to "a table".

Tag

Keywords may be assigned to an Entry thus facilitating the finding and grouping of Entries according to content criteria.

Template

Template in this sense may be created from scratch or from every existing Entry that is supposed to serve as such. The creation of one such Template maybe restricted by configuration, though.

Witness

A witness is a secondary signatory.
