The feature Measurement is the collection of data from one or more Device channels that are represented on a Dashboard. A measurement can be started from any Dashboard with channels and can be added, moved, removed, edited, deleted, etc. as any other Resource in Laboperator.

Creating a new Measurement from a Dashboard
1. To start a measurement from a selected Dashboard follow the next steps:
- Once you have selected the Dashboard, open it and click on the information button on the top right.
- The context menu will appear, then select the measurement tab.
- By clicking on Start Measurement a new measurement will be created.
2. A new pop-up window opens.
- Select the destination folder of the measurement.
- Once you have selected the destination folder, click on Submit.
- The new measurement will appear on the right-side panel. The panel contains information regarding the measurement such as Start Time, Duration, Device and Context.
- To stop the current measurement, click on the Stop Now button.
- The bottom right panel shows all measurements. The green dot indicates the ongoing measurement(s), while the blue dot indicates the completed measurement(s). The checkmark on the right indicates that the information shown in (c) corresponds to that measurement.
Creating a new Measurement from a single device channel
Additionally to measurements from dashboards, you can also create a measurement of a single device channel.
- Open the dashboard you want to use click on the +ADD-button at the top of the navigation menu and select measurement.
- Select the collection where the measurement will be located.
- Edit the start and end times and add a comment if necessary.
- Then select the channel you want to take the measurement from. Click on SUBMIT when ready.
- Once the measurement is completed, it is located in the previously selected Collection
