If temporarily a Category is not needed or it is unclear whether it may be deleted, it is advisable to hide the category (for as long as necessary) rather. Below is a description of how it is done and also of how it is undone in Labregister.



How to hide

  1. Click OPTIONS.
  2. Click Hide category.


  1. A pop-up explains what is going to happen. Click HIDE to execute.


Tip: As you can see in the screenshot for point 5 of "How to unhide" below, it is also possible to delete a Category while hidden. It is therefore always advisable to hide a category prior to (possibly) deleting, to give users the opportunity to object.



How to unhide

  1. In the sidebar, clicking Categories will open a drop-down menu.
  2. In the sidebar, Click Hidden categories.

  1. In the sidebar, choose the Category to unhide from the list by clicking if there are any.
  2. Click OPTIONS.
  3. Click Restore Category.
