How can one move an Entry to another Project?

Modified on Wed, 1 Jun, 2022 at 1:10 PM

In Labfolder, each Entry is allocated with one Project, just as with your classic notebook. But if you can edit the Entry title, you can also "move" it to another Project. Here is how:

  1. Click on the pencil icon next to the Entry title in the Entry header.

  1. Click on the line where it says Project.

  1. Choose a different Project from the drop-down menu by clicking.

  1. Click SAVE to confirm.

Note: You are able to "move", if you are able to edit; and you are able to edit, if a pencil icon is showing next to the Entry title. By design, this applies to the author and no one else. For reasons of integrity, however, Entries are not actually moved as such, because they are not deleted in their source Project but only hidden on the occasion while a duplicate is created in the target Project. Therefore, you can always unhide the Entry in its source Project and "move" it yet again, if necessary.
